Chris Rose Awarded Order of B.C.
The staff at Thompson Nicola Cariboo United Way extend a heartfelt congratulations to Chris Rose on receiving the Order of British Columbia. The order is awarded to British Columbians who have contributed to the province in remarkable ways.
Chris Rose has dedicated much of his teaching career to helping children and families deal with the challenges of autism. He is President of the Board of Directors for the Chris Rose Therapy Centre for Autism and has always been an advocate for children with special needs. In 2002 The Chris Rose Therapy Centre was named in honor of his work. Chris Rose was also named United Way Volunteer of the Year at our Spirit Awards in April 2008. He has also been awarded an Honorary Doctorate from TRU.
The Chris Rose Centre for Autism is one of the many Community Partners funded by United Way.
